The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has embarked on an aggressive, $19.2 billion school construction and renovation program that will deliver new and modernized school facilities. LAUSD’s John Muir Middle School was in dire need of HVAC upgrades. SiteScan provided concrete scanning services surrounding the main HVAC unit so that the contractor could secure the unit in place without hitting subsurface rebar and causing costly damages. SiteScan’s state-of-the-art Concrete Scan Mini was able to locate rebar in hard-to-reach spaces and distinctive locations.
